To that end, a separate organisational unit has been set up within the AP, the Department for the Coordination of Algorithmic Oversight (DCA). The DCA contributes to better control of algorithms and AI in the Netherlands by providing high-level risk analysis, strengthening collaboration between market surveillance authorities, and helping develop new (legal) frameworks.

Being the coordinating market surveillance authority for algorithms and AI, the AP will focus on transparency, standardisation, auditing, governance, non-discrimination and AI literacy.
